Giving that gathers momentum, quietly.
Avalanche Foundation is an Australian private ancillary fund, supporting registered Australian charities through an annual giving program.
A family foundation, built to give for the long term.
Avalanche Foundation is a charitable fund (a private ancillary fund) that supports the work of some of Australia's biggest and smallest registered charities.
The Foundation backs practical, high-impact initiatives that help people and communities thrive. We support partners strengthening mental and physical well-being, building connection and inclusion, and promoting healthy identities and respectful relationships.
We help organisations to provide compassionate support when life is hardest, such as serious illness or crisis.
Organisations we support
Each year the Foundation makes grants to a small number of registered Australian charities. We favour organisations doing practical, well-run work, often in mental health, family support and food security. We aim to be a reliable, low-fuss funder.

Submitting a proposal
The Foundation invites ACNC registered charities to submit proposals for small projects they are planning. Proposals are due by the 15 April each year, and in May the trustee's directors choose the organisations we will support.
What to include: a short description of your organisation and its ACNC registration, the project you're proposing, what it will achieve, and the funding you're seeking. One or two pages is plenty.
We read every proposal, but as a small family foundation we can only fund a handful of projects each year.
